Step by step: onboarding and your first day at Senetic
Do you know that feeling? Your first day at work. A touch of stress, curiosity and a million questions running through your head.
“What will settling into the new role be like?”, “Will I settle in quickly?”,
“What is the onboarding process like at the company?” If you’re about to face this moment – or are considering joining our team – this article is for you.
We’ll tell you what onboarding is like at Senetic…
First day at work
Imagine your first day at work. If you’re working remotely, we’ll always send you your equipment a week before you start. No stress, no frantic worrying about whether you’ll manage to log in. If you’re starting in the office – we’ll welcome you with a tour and… a cup of coffee or tea together. No rush, no pressure. Because we know one thing: your first day at work isn’t the time to bombard you with a ton of information. It’s an organisational day. One that lets you catch your breath and feel ‘at home’.
Less theory, more practical details
We start with a meeting with the HR team. During this meeting, we go through a short presentation together, which also serves as a guide for your first few weeks on the job. Gradually, you’ll learn about the company’s history and our working culture. You’ll find out how we operate on a day-to-day basis, but above all – we focus on the practical details. We know that onboarding into a new role involves a flood of information. That’s why we deliver the information in manageable doses.
Only what’s really needed to get you started.
Your buddy 🤝
On your first day, after the organisational part, it’s time for: paperwork and training, your role, your team and your buddy.
This is someone from your team who will:
- help you settle into your new environment
- answer your questions (and there are plenty of those at the start – we know that 😉)
- show you what day-to-day work looks like ‘behind the scenes’
You’re not left to your own devices.
Onboarding at Senetic is a team process – your manager and colleagues are involved. Often, right from the start, you’ll also meet members of other departments you’ll be working with.
An implementation tailored to your needs
Every team works a little differently. And that’s fine. That’s why the induction process for a new role at Senetic is structured, tailored to your role and responsibilities, and prepared by your line manager.
What could be included in your onboarding process?
- product presentations
- one-to-one meetings with team members
- step-by-step guidance on specific tasks
It’s not about knowing everything straight away.
It’s about knowing where and how to acquire that knowledge.
Everything in one place – HR system support
During the onboarding process, you’ll be supported by our HR system, which features a dedicated tab to help you navigate all the formalities – such as applying for benefits and reviewing essential information and policies. It’s your command centre.
This ensures you won’t miss a thing; you can learn at your own pace, with all the information organised in one place.
After two months – we’re taking a break
After about two months on the job, you’ll meet with the HR team again.
This is an important moment. We’ll discuss how your induction is going, how you’re settling into your new role, whether there’s anything you feel is missing, and what we can do better. It’s also an opportunity for you to give your feedback. Because a fresh perspective is invaluable. It’s often newcomers who spot things that could be improved, have ideas for change, and view processes differently from the ‘old guard’. And we really do listen to that.
Numbers that mean something
Finally, something we’re proud of. In the first quarter of 2026, the NPS score among new employees stood at 80. That’s a very high score – and for us, it’s a sign that our onboarding process is working, that people feel at home at Senetic, and that the direction we’ve taken makes sense.
Finally – a few words to you
